The German used car market offers a huge selection of well-equipped, well-maintained vehicles – often at better prices than in France. For a successful import, the quitus fiscal, the Certificate of Conformity (COC) and the immatriculation must be handled correctly.
Typical process
- Find and check the vehicle in Germany
- Complete the purchase and sales contract
- Organise export and transport to France
- Apply for the quitus fiscal at the tax office (SIE)
- Register the vehicle via ANTS
